Booster Club

The Howard Soil & Water Conservation District (HSWCD) has been generously supported by its many members since the district began its Booster Club in 1969.  The commissioners wish to thank all of the individuals and businesses who have so generously donated to the district over the years.

The Booster Club is used to help finance conservation activities such as scholarships, outdoor classroom activities, annual report, postage, and conservation awards.  Funds are always needed and in short supply.  Any amount you can give is appreciated.

You may become a member any time of the year with any donation amount.  Please fill out this form and and mail it to: Howard SWCD Booster Club - 311 7th Street SW #2 - Cresco, IA 52136.  Please make check payable to "Howard SWCD."

Pheasants Forever logo & websitePheasants Forever, Inc. is a non-profit conservation organization formed in 1982 in response to the continuing decline of upland wildlife. They raise funds through local chapters that are used for habitat development, conservation education, and other worthy endeavors with 100% of net proceeds retained by the local chapter.

We are lucky to have such a successful and generous local Pheasants Forever group. The Turkey River Chapter of Pheasants Forever continues to donate to the Howard Soil & Water Conservation District, which we are very grateful for.

Please check out the Iowa Pheasants Forever website for more information!
